01 / SAY IT CLEARLY
Your allergies.
In their language.
A card that speaks for you when the words don’t come easily. Add your allergies, severity and notes, then choose where you’re going.
The card layout follows the app example you supplied:
- A clear statement of allergy and severity
- Foods and ingredients to avoid
- A direct question for the person preparing your food
02 / LOOK A LITTLE CLOSER
A label you can’t read?
Let’s start there.
Point the AI scanner at a food label or dish. Choose which allergies to check and get a starting point for understanding what’s in front of you.

Checking for SoyA packaged-food exampleThe useful part is knowing why.
In this sample, soy sauce appears in the ingredient list. The scan connects it to the selected soy allergy.
A FEW INGREDIENTS FROM THE EXAMPLE
- Wheat flour
- Palm oil
- Soy sauceSoy
Matched to soy only. This is not a complete allergy assessment.
“Could you check the ingredients in the sauce and seasoning?”
English example. In the app, questions can be translated for the person preparing your food.
A helpful second look, not a safety guarantee. AI can miss ingredients; confirm labels and preparation with the food provider.
03 / TAKE IT WITH YOU
Same you. Three ways to say it.
On your phone, in your wallet, or a little larger. Your card travels your way.

A few things
you might ask.
When can I download Platesafe?
The iOS and Android releases are coming soon. This page is a preview of the app and its features; downloads and purchases are not available here yet.
Can I use my card without an internet connection?
Yes. Your digital allergy card is designed to open offline in the app once saved. You can also take a printed wallet or large card. AI scanning and generating translations need a connection.
What if my allergy isn’t one of the nine?
Add a custom allergy, set its severity and include your own notes. You can also adjust the avoid-items and ask for changes to the card’s wording before purchasing.
Can one card cover more than one destination?
Yes. One card can include multiple destination languages for a single trip, so you can switch as you travel. Platesafe supports destinations around the world; the language options are shown when you create your card.
How do cards and purchases work?
Cards use a one-time purchase per card. Preview and edit before purchasing, then find your saved cards and purchase history in My Cards. You can start as a guest or sign in with Google or Microsoft.
Can the scanner tell me a food is definitely safe?
No. An AI scan can help identify food, read labels and flag possible ingredient matches, but it can miss details. A photo cannot establish cross-contact or every ingredient in a dish. Always check the actual label and confirm ingredients and preparation with the food provider.
