Puri
Also known as: Poori, पूरी
Puffed unleavened whole-wheat fried breads with crisp exteriors and soft interiors.
About Puri
Dassana Amit’s poori is a traditional Indian unleavened wheat bread, also called puri. Its rounded, puffed shape makes it recognisable at breakfast and alongside a range of meals.
Whole-wheat flour and salt give the bread its plain, savoury base. The exterior is crisp, while the inside remains soft and airy; semolina and ajwain are offered additions.
The breads are presented hot as individual golden rounds. Dassana also offers them on their own as a snack, with their wheat flavour and light interior central to this rendition.
